What our Days are Like

Music

Music is an important part of everyday life.  Children take part in weekly music sessions.  Activities related to musical selections give children opportunities to listen, sing, play instruments, experience rhythm through movement, and creatively express themselves.  A wide variety of academic, physical, and social skills can be taught and reinforced through the use of music.  In addition, children learn to appreciate the similarities and differences among cultures when they are introduced to music from around the world.  Music is truly a universal language that can be used to enrich the lives of all children.
